Steve Rain’s Hard Times label has been a cornerstone of the house scene since its inception, back in the mid 90s, and it’s still going strong to this day. Robert Owens’ magical 1995 piece Come Together is enough of a lure to attract even the most jaded of house aficionados, but we get two tasty remixes to get stuck into here. Malachi is the man to provide the vibes, and his remix is what classic house is all bout – phat-ass beats, deep basslines and ethereal pads guided by angelic r&b vocals. Job’s a good-un. But, there’s the insta dub mix as added material, coming through with even badder bass tones, and more of a jacking swing to lift the floor…and the souls.
