Kevin McKay made a mix of his favourite 90s tracks recently. When we were going through it one thing stood out as being something that would really work today – Three Drive’s Greece 2000. It was an absolute monster tune in Glasgow when it came out and – to us – its cascading synth line is one of the best ever in house music. This inspired Kevin to do his own spin on it. He faithfully recreated all the synth parts and got into the studio with super engineer Andy MacDougall and this new version of “Greece 2000” is the result.

This and Kevin’s mix of his collaboration with Grum from last year form the basis of the latest volume of our Melodic House & Techno compilation, Callisto. To those, we have added tracks from our favourite up’n’coming producers in that genre including Daniel Trim, Diynamic’s Giza Djs, Pete Tong fave David Jackson, Grazze and a load of other new talent.

We did a rough GU survey of what DJs thought was going to be the sound of Ibiza this year and the thing that kept popping up is disco. Last year, we didn’t hear much of that going on, tech-house was still the main event as far as wecould see. But maybe this year with Denis Sulta’s new one going off in such a big way we’ll see more glitterball grooves on the dancefloor.

With that in mind, we’ve added some exclusive seventies flavours to this years Ibiza compilation. CASSIMM and Kevin McKay take one of our favourite disco cuts and brush it up for 2018 while newcomers Hurlee & Gaol deliver a superb slow-burning disco jam that should be entertaining pool parties all summer. On the tech front we have new hits from Danny Howard, Sante Sansone, Emery Warman, Vlada Asanin, Magitman, DFTD star Qubiko and Mother Recordings’ Ordonez alongside new recruits Atriea, Emma J White & Yvette Lindquist.
