Beautiful Place by Peter Kir on Platform 7even
Gammon has been on our radar since the early days, and over the years we’ve had the chance to watch his sound gradually take shape. After previously appearing on one of our compilations, he now returns with his first solo EP for the label.
Drawing inspiration from Romanian folk traditions and filtering them through his own sonic language, Gammon delivers a deeply personal release where old roots meet a modern approach.
Shaolin Cutz continues on its journey with a second series of releases comprising six instalments and a total of 21 tracks. The series is conceived as a progressive journey through different expressions of electronic music, with each release occupying its own space within a sequence defined by intensity, aesthetic and energy. From electro to minimal, micro house and house, each chapter explores different textures, rhythms and influences, whilst maintaining a common thread: music with character, designed for the dancefloor and crafted to transcend its own moment. More than just a collection of releases, this second cycle offers a journey. Six chapters, six perspectives and a single quest: to develop a language of its own – open and timeless – where each piece finds its place within the whole. With this second cycle, Shaolin Cutz continues to develop its own language: eclectic, timeless and deeply rooted in the underground.
Cristina Lazic lands on PVCLB with ‘Dance To The Beat’, taking her deeper minimal style and dipping her toes into a more housey, peak time territory. The EP keeps the groove and character of her productions intact, while opening things up for bigger dancefloors. Andrew Azara takes the track in a more driving direction with his remix, making the EP an all-round tool for any DJ.
aMo (um) brings over two decades of experience to You&Me with the three track ‘Don’t Stop’ EP. From Birmingham’s underground rave scene to Ibiza’s house and minimal circuit, aMo (um) has built a reputation across more than 20 years in electronic music, with residencies at Pikes and appearances on Ibiza Global Radio, Ibiza Sonica and Pure Ibiza Radio. His recent collaboration with Chris Lorenzo on TSZR reached No. 2 on both the overall Beatport and House charts, surpassed 4 million streams, and picked up support from names including Jamie Jones, Michael Bibi, Mau P, Dom Dolla, Peggy Gou, Marco Carola and Josh Baker. ‘Don’t Stop EP’ marks aMo (um)’s debut on You&Me, bringing together three tracks that reflect his long standing connection to the house and minimal scene.
While the skies in the east brightened and the last sunbeams lit the dancefloor, we realised summer isn’t over yet, and it’s time for Cameron Jack to take the driver’s seat with his ‘The Beat’ EP. The London producer has had a crazy rise over the last couple of years, not to mention a radio takeover for Circoloco and DC10 main room debut with Solid Grooves. Now, Cameron lands on La Zic with a fresh, bouncy original where tight drums meet a full-bodied bassline and Balearic energy for an irresistible, yet easy, trippy after-hours tool. On remix duty, Jeff Sorkowitz brings the gritty, bass-driven trademark sound that made him popular on labels like Take Notes, Deeperfect, and his own Short Circuit. Completing the package, Romania-born, now Barcelona-based Constratti returns to his homeland with a driving, dreamy version.
