Medjed II on Sounds Of Khemit
In Spell 17 of the Book of the Dead there is one line about Medjed, the Smiter: he lives in the House of Osiris, shoots light from his eyes, and is never seen. For three thousand years he stayed in the margins, drawn only as a veiled figure with his eyes and feet showing. Sounds of Khemit has worked the same way, sending light out from small rooms and letting the music speak first. Medjed II is our second yearly gathering under his name, following Medjed (2024): eleven tracks from the family of artists around the label and the new voices who found their way to the house this year.
